Postcards From London | Julian Bayliss To Score
Julian Bayliss has been attached to score Steve Mclean’s BFI-backed feature film, Postcards From London.
The film tells the story of Jim (played by Harris Dickinson), a young man so beautiful you’d think a Greek sculpture had just come to life. With no future in the cultural-desert that is Jim’s home town he succumbs to the prospect of fame, fortune and cultural stimulation to be found in Soho and sets off for London.
On his first night, Jim is robbed. He spends the night in a cardboard box soon meets and then joins ?The Raconteurs? (Leonardo Salerni, Ben Cura, Leo Hatton, Jonah Hauer-King, Richard Durden) ? a coterie of male escorts whose unique selling point is their encyclopedic knowledge of the arts.
What follows is Jim?s comic descent from unsuccessful escort, to artist?s muse and art authenticator ? a journey complicated by a rare psychosomatic condition called ?Stendhal Syndrome? which renders him painfully oversensitive to art.
Soledad Gatti-Pascual of Diablo Films (The Bureau) is the Producer.
Stephen Boucher is attached as Editor.
Sync Music’s Christian Siddell is attached as Music Supervisor.
