Mohsen Mukhmalbaf's The President, which tells of the final days of
a dictator in a country taken over by revolutionists, has enjoyed
success at film festivals throughout the world.

The feature opened the Venice Film Festival where it was nominated
for Best Film, a category for which it was also nominated in the
London Film Festival too.

In the Chicago International Film Festival the film won Best Feature
and in Tokyo at FILMeX the feature enjoyed further success, winning
the Audience Award.
