Sync Music has been case studied by Televisual Magazine this month in
their February production music feature.
The industry publication looked in detail at a recent Sync Music production
music project for CBBC because of the new and innovative approach to
production music it reflects.
"The client had some specific requirements for this project, above and
beyond a more 'typical' production music brief, due to the way in which
they wanted to use the music", said Sync Music's Christian Siddell.
"Uniquely, for this project we created a track from scratch".
Upon delivery of the track Sync Music also provided the client with separate
music files of some of the individual parts as well as edited cut downs and
stings of varying length. The tracks were then registered with the societies
ready to be cleared under the BBC blanket agreement.
"Taking this more bespoke approach to production music means that our
clients have much more control over and input to the music. It also allows
us to ensure much more effectively that all the requirements of the brief are
met" says Siddell.
"In addition, it means that we are able to offer our clients much more
flexibility and a much higher level and quality of service overall than our
competitors, which is a major distinguishing factor and a great selling
point."
Sync Music's own MCPS registered production music catalogue is due to
launch online in March 2009.
