Gabriel Currington recently completed work on the
score for the new BBC 2 drama 'First Light', airing
on Tuesday 14th September at 9.00pm.

'First Light' tells the story of the youngest ever Spitfire
pilot in WW2, told from subjective experience.

Now aged 89, Geoffrey Wellum was just 18 when he
became a combat fighter pilot at the beginning of the
Battle of Britain. 'First Light' is an intimate
drama-documentary that delivers a compelling
testimony of his wartime experiences.

Gabriel Currington composed and orchestrated all the
music for the production, hiring out a thirty-piece
orchestra recording in London's Air-Edel Studios.

"The project worked out really well ...hard work but
the pay-off is it's a fantastic film", said Currington of
the project.
