Born and raised in New York City, Daniel is a singer-songwriter whose sound originates out of a British-pop, American Standard and Folk sensibility. Daniel landed his first gig at Sine and since has double billed with such artists as Jeff Buckley, Jewel ,Beth Orton and Stereo Lab. Daniel has performed in many New York venues including: Irving Plaza The Living Room and Arlene’s Grocery. He also Toured New Zealand in 2002.
His songs have aired on W.F.M.U and W.N.Y.C and have been featured in several independent films including "The Callback", winner of the 1999 Sandiego Film Festival audience award. For the stage, Daniel Has written songs for Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Patrick Shanley. Daniel Has acquired a huge catalog of material that ranges from very lilting and introspective to vast and theatrical while all along maintaining a deep emotion that seers right through everything.
Whether the approach is abstract, ironic or a plain and simple sentiment, Daniel’s songs reach far into our human joy and sorrow. His melodies posses a richness found in the voice of a Richard Rogers or a Cole Porter.
