Alistair Griffin is a prolific writer of inspirational indie/pop/rock. Already an established songwriter, he first became famous as a solo artist through his appearances on the BBC television show Fame Academy 2 in 2003, where he was spotted and championed by Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees. He subsequently had two top twenty hit singles and a top twenty album in the UK. In 2007 he received worldwide press coverage for his adaptation of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah as a tribute to football player, Mark Viduka.
Blown Away currently features weekly on the BBC’s Match of the Day. The BBC ended the 2010 F1 season with a montage of championship highlights synced with Alistair’s Just Drive.
Sky Sports F1 have announced that they have chosen Just Drive as the title Music for their coverage of this year’s Formula 1 Season with a specially re-recorded version featuring the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and young singers from the Berkshire-based Rodolfus Choir
